Project Manager

An outstanding opportunity to lead the delivery of Vendigital’s services as a key part of our highly motivated team, taking charge of projects to drive the development of both your career and the satisfaction of Vendigital’s clients.

We are now looking to strengthen our project management team to deliver high quality results to our growing client base. This is a key role in a dynamic business and we are looking for you to provide leadership in the development and growth of the company.

The role includes:

• Delivering Vendigital’s services to a number of clients and ensuring that both customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness are maximised.
• Managing projects to ensure that all aspects of commitments made to your clients are delivered, in full. This will involve:
  • Co-ordinating Vendigital supplier sourcing team to assist you in delivering projects.
  • Using your experience to guide both the specific tactics and the overall direction of your projects.
  • Ensuring that all project stakeholders are kept informed of the project status and issues.
  • Resolving any issues which arise to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and produce the right results for your client which in turn will ensure Vendigital revenues are delivered.
• The projects you will be managing will cover a range of Vendigital’s products and services, and will involve:
  • Analysing purchasing spend to identify the extent of the benefit that Vendigital could offer to the client.
  • Planning the programme of delivery with the Vendigital and client team.
  • Delivering e-sourcing projects in a wide range of purchasing categories including directs, indirects and services.
  • Advising clients on and managing implementation of new supplier contracts.
  • Managing the deployment of Vendigital’s e-procurement software at client sites.
  • Facilitating the training of clients in the use of Vendigital’s e-procurement software.

Candidates must:

• Have a strong academic background (degree qualified in engineering or another technical subject).
• Be able to demonstrate the skills required to carry out the role in an autonomous environment.
• Be excited by the opportunity to work with and travel to clients around the UK, mainland Europe and the USA.
• Have experience in working in a manufacturing environment, in either an operational or consulting role.
• Thrive on achieving goals and managing to agreed timescales.
• Enjoy driving change
• Have a background in one or a mix of:
  • Supply Chain
  • Driving Improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Procurement

Remuneration of successful candidates will be dependent on ability and experience and will incorporate an appropriate bonus structure.

Project Coordinator

We are looking for bright, committed individuals with fluent English and a second language to be dynamic Project Coordinators for our e-sourcing projects.

Role Description

Co-ordination and administration of e-sourcing projects, providing support for the project managers to deliver outstanding results for clients.

Tasks will involve:

• Searching commercial data bases and internal data base for suitable suppliers meeting customer’s criteria.
• Telephoning potential suppliers around the world and establishing suitability, “selling” the benefits of taking part in a tender.
• Coaching suppliers through the project process, keeping an accurate detailed record of all activity and communication
• Maintaining the web-based message board, collating queries for the customer.
• Ensuring suppliers understand and are comfortable with all aspects of the e-auction process.
• Training suppliers in using the on-line bidding platform.
• Ensuring the timeliness of the project deliverables.
• The candidate will also be involved with testing and giving input into the development of new products

Likely Background

• A graduate (preferably in technical, business, or language related subject), with relevant experience in a manufacturing or office environment.

• Experience of communicating with external parties, especially by phone.
• Good MS Excel skills.
• Demonstrable track record of taking initiative and achievement beyond set objectives.
