Project Manager - Purchasing and Supply Chain

The role includes:

• Leading & delivering Vendigital’s services to a number of clients and ensuring that both customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness are maximised
• Managing programmes & projects to ensure that all aspects of commitments made to your clients are delivered, in full. You will be responsible for:
  • Using your experience to guide both the specific tactics and the overall direction
  • Leading the Vendigital sourcing team to support your programme deliverables
  • Working at multiple levels from detailed analysis to executive programme steering meetings
  • Programme & project stakeholder management ensuring expectations are met
  • Ensuring Vendigital revenues & profitability are delivered
• The programmes and projects you will be managing will cover a range of Vendigital's products and services, and will involve:
  • Analysing our client's procurement functions and spend to identify the opportunity for improvement that Vendigital could offer to the client
  • Supporting the sales process
  • Planning the programme of delivery with the Vendigital and client team
  • Delivering procurement projects in a wide range of spend categories
  • Advising clients on and managing implementation of new supplier contracts
  • Managing the deployment of Vendigital's technology at clients
  • Supporting clients in the delivery of Asian low cost country sourcing opportunities

Candidates must:

• Have a strong academic background (degree qualified in an engineering, manufacturing or scientific subject)
• Be able to demonstrate the skills required to carry out the role in an autonomous environment
• Have experience in direct working with and delivering for clients
• Be excited by the opportunity to work away from home with clients around the UK, mainland Europe, USA and China
• Have experience in working in a manufacturing environment, in either an operational or consulting role
• Thrive on achieving goals and managing to agreed timescales
• Have a background in one or a mix of:
  • Supply Chain
  • Driving Improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Procurement

Sourcing Specialist

We have a vacancy for a bright committed and dynamic individual as a Sourcing Specialist, responsible for supporting project teams in the delivery of sourcing projects and supply chain activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player in Vendigital's highly motivated team, suited to an individual with the drive and capability to succeed and develop.

This is a full-time position based at the Vendigital Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Role Description

Co-ordination and administration of sourcing projects, providing support for project management to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

Tasks will involve:

• Working as an integral part of a project team
• Searching commercial and internal data bases for suitable suppliers meeting the client's criteria
• Telephoning potential suppliers around the world and establishing suitability, "selling" the benefits of taking part in a tender
• Coaching suppliers through the project process, keeping an accurate detailed record of all activity and communication
• Maintaining the web-based message board, collating queries for the customer
• Ensuring suppliers understand and are comfortable with all aspects of the e-auction process
• Training suppliers in using the e-tender platform
• Ensuring project deliverables and pre-defined timescales are met
• The candidate will also be involved with testing and giving input into the development of new products
• Market research and Project Management support, based on client requirements
• Business support activities as required
